The BeeSafe System is a drain cover for swimming pools, spas and hot tubs that was invented & designed by a Health Inspector with solving the suction entrapment problem in mind. The system addresses all hazards associated with conventional drain systems. It will eliminate hair entanglement, child evisceration, limb & mechanical entrapment as well as body entrapment. Additionally, its design and construction provides more effective solution against broken drain covers, missing drain covers & vandalism. The System was designed to meet ASME A 112.19.8-2007 standard for suction entrapment avoidance set by ANSI. As large unblockable drains are outside the limits of the 2007 standard, the 2008 standard is now being written with changes in the UV requirement. Our product will be tested as soon as the 2008 standard is issued.

Furthermore, The BeeSafe System will equal the strength of its competitors and will handle a flow rate up to 682.5 gallons per minute at 1 ½ feet per second. As well the system will work with all existing square & circular main drains available in the United States.


The unique design and size of the BeeSafe System offers swimming pool owners & operators an alternative to installing dual main drains or as an effective additional layer of protection with dual main drains. The system has the ability to be used affectively with or with out a sump.
